Telos Corporation-ST Engineering partnership to deliver cybersecurity, GRC solutions in Asia, Middle East

KUALA LUMPUR, April 3 -- Telos® Corporation, a cyber, cloud and enterprise security solutions provider and ST Engineering, a global technology, defence and engineering group have signed an agreement to extend availability of critical cybersecurity and governance, risk and compliance (GRC) management solutions into Asia and the Middle East.

COVID-19: Vista Global expands complimentary empty leg flights for governments, medical organisations

KUALA LUMPUR, March 30 -- The private aviation group, Vista Global will expand on VistaJet’s offer of complimentary empty leg flights to those with critical travel requirements during this time of uncertainty.

Through VistaJet and now XO, the global digital marketplace for private aviation, Vista Global will provide governments and medical organisations access to over 115 aircraft during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Combining efforts across VistaJet and XO in utilising their global network, infrastructure and technology, the group will help governments repatriate citizens who are stranded abroad.

It will also assist in transporting healthcare professionals and medical supplies to countries that need them the most by providing access to complimentary empty leg flights, according to a statement.

“We understand that people need help, especially in times of instability, and now in expanding the availability also to XO’s fleet, we are able to use our entire global network, infrastructure, expertise and technologies to help even more communities in need,” said Vista Global’s founder and chairman, Thomas Flohr.

In addition to helping officials keep their response plans as prompt as possible, Vista Global will also assist with the complex logistics of the necessary permits and paperwork.

Entegris' manufacturing facility in Kulim receives NCOSH safety excellence award

KUALA LUMPUR, March 3 -- Entegris has received a safety excellence award from the Malaysian National Council for Occupational Safety and Health (NCOSH), the highest safety award a company can receive in Malaysia.

According to a statement, the award was presented after a six-month evaluation process and it was received by Entegris Malaysia managing director, Derek Ong.

“Together, we keep our focus on continuous improvement through weekly management meetings, safety Gemba walks to celebrate successes and identify areas for improvement, employee safety training, two-minute safety briefings during every shift and safety promotional campaigns,” said Ong.

Over 950 employees work in the Kulim, Kedah facility, developing systems and products to ensure the clean and safe delivery of the microelectronic components used in semiconductor manufacturing processes and other high technology industries.

It is Entegris’ largest manufacturing site and a part of the company’s Advanced Materials Handling (AMH) Division.

According to AMH vice-president of operations, Mike Lloyd, among the aspects that received recognition from NCOSH were senior management’s involvement in all safety matters, substantial commitment of resources to fund health and safety programmes, system to track incidents and proactive reporting metrics.

In addition, the company has a recognition programme that rewards employees who make suggestions for safety improvements, demonstrate good safety behaviour, address safety issues and coach other employees on safety issues.

Employees also engage in a community outreach programme that promotes health and safety for children that includes First Aid training.

UNBELIEVABLE MYDEBIT CONTEST WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Yet Another Successful Collaboration between Isetan and PayNet

KUALA LUMPUR, March 3 (Bernama) -- Isetan of Japan Sdn. Bhd. concluded another successful collaboration with Payments Network Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (PayNet) to encourage the public to shop using debit cards. As an incentive for its customers to shop using their MyDebit ATM card, Isetan held the unBELIevable MyDebit Je with your ATM card & Win contest. Similar to last year’s MyDebit – Isetan Fabulous Living Contest, prizes totalling RM250,000 were up for grabs.

Customers of Isetan KL that made purchases of RM100 and above using their MyDebit ATM card were entitled to one entry. The contest, which ran from 1 November 2019 till 31 January 2020, attracted more than 3,400 entries.

The contest created greater awareness on the safety and convenience of making payments using MyDebit ATM cards. Payments are made by just waving or tapping the card, or entering the six-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) on the reader.

The top 15 winners of the contest were announced at a prize-giving ceremony that took place at Traders Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The Grand Prize winner, Datin Marlia Musa won a Honda City worth over RM73,836. Present at the event were Mr. Michael Kumar, Director, Card Services Division, PayNet and Mr. Yeow Kah Chong, Isetan General Manager.

Commenting on the collaboration, Mr. Koji Oyama, Managing Director of Isetan Kuala Lumpur said “The response to the contest this year was very encouraging and a testament to the positive partnership between Isetan of Japan Sdn. Nasdaq powers Indonesia's KSEI with new central securities depository solution

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 26 -- PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI) has successfully gone live with a new central securities depository (CSD) solution by market technology provider, Nasdaq Inc.

The new and state-of-the-art CSD platform provides KSEI with increased capacity and speed, with the new system operating at 40 times faster than KSEI’s previous system, while managing up to 80,000 settlement instructions per minute. 

According to a statement, the technology offering is a multi-asset, multi-currency post-trade solution for settlement, depository, corporate actions and asset servicing to support the full service scope for CSDs globally.

Lookout records growth in enterprise customers for fiscal year ending Jan 31

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 21 -- Mobile security leader Lookout Inc has announced a record fiscal year ended Jan 31, 2020, with growth in enterprise customers driven by strong demand for its Phishing, App Defence and Mobile Endpoint Security solutions.
