SHAH ALAM, Nov 17 (Bernama) -- Campaign #HearMe HearMe and 'Teddy Bear Hospital Programme', are among the main attractions at the Malaysia Islamic Children's Fair (MICF), which is scheduled to last for three days starting from Nov 27 at the Shah Alam Convention Centre (SACC) here.

Zurriyat Ventures Sdn Bhd managing director who is also the chairman of MICF, Dayang Lily Maznah Abang Muas, said the programme in its third year, was expected to draw up to 50,000 visitors.

HearMe #HearMe campaign aims to encourage children to present their opinions on any issue to adults so that adults can provide feedback on the issue.

"Usually we only hear adults giving opinions but this time we will make a difference and give the children a chance to express their opinions and aspirations.

"More interesting, the interview session and video recording will be done by children as well and the interview will be shared using the hashtag #HearMe HearMe, MICF is not just an exhibition but also a platform to produce children who will become future leaders," she told reporters here today.

Lily Maznah said children who visit the MICF can also participate in learning activities through the 'Teddy Bear Hospital Programme' under the supervision of the Islamic Medical Association of Malaysia Children and Teens Super Team (IMACAT).

She said the programme allows children to bring their dolls for a basic health screening.

"The programme themed 'Learn About Health the Fun Way!' inspires to promote proactive participation of health sector workers like medical students and doctors to promote a healthy lifestyle among children as well as exposing the children so that they are not afraid to go to hospital for treatment," she said.

According to Lily Maznah, MICF this year for the first time will introduce 'Anugerah Tunas Selangor' which will be presented to competent children in conjunction with Selangor Children's Day. MICF also provides various competitions to foster the family spirit.
