- YZF-R1 and YZF-R1M Share Lineage with MotoGP Machines -
Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (Tokyo: 7272) announced on November 4 that it unveiled its new flagship YZF-R1 and high-end YZF-R1M supersport motorbikes, both featuring an entirely new 998 cubic-centimeter liquid-cooled, in-line four-cylinder engine with a crossplane crankshaft, at the November 3 press event of the EICMA international motorcycle show in Milan, Italy, which runs from November 4 to 9.
